A Quest Uniting Individuals: Community Hospitality
A Quest Uniting Individuals Community Hospitality is a nonprofit restaurant project serving the community to change the quality of life for our houseless brothers and sisters. At A.Q.U.I. we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the displaced youth in our community. A.Q.U.I. will help the community by training individuals facing homelessness to enter the workforce and improve their quality of life. Our 12 month program will offer life training for important parts of success such as leadership, confidence, and the courage to execute everyday life. We will strive for team effort and achieving goals as a unit. A.Q.U.I. will start with a no-contact family meal delivery service in hopes to become a brick and mortar location. Our final goal is a restaurant that will act as a hands-on, learning, living, and unique dining experience, where customers feel the warmth from our hospitable team. As a restaurant, its mission, of training houseless young men and women, certainly sets it apart from any other competitive restaurant in the North Hollywood, CA area. With this in place as our mission and a lot of community love and support, A.Q.U.I.'s will likely reach its expectant sales goals. Most of us can only imagine the complications people who are homeless must overcome to maintain a job, much less one in the restaurant business. Yet, this innovative employment training program will help ease the transition. From living on the streets to independence, A.Q.U.I.'s goals are wholehearted to say the least.
Milestones
A.Q.U.I. expects to achieve the following milestones in the following 27 months:
12/1/20 Pilot 1 No Contact Family Meal Deliveries: Hire and train 4 houseless staff members
1/1/21 Begin catering for fundraising events
4/1/21 Pilot 2 CATERING: Recruit and train additional 2 houseless staff members
1/1/22 Reach $ 100,000 donations
12/1/22 Launch our first brick and mortar

Who We Are
Our Roots
Here at AQUI, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support.The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to the range of activities we’re involved in. A.Q.U.I. is eager to help the local houseless youth learn valuable skills and become more goal-focused in order to improve their ability to live fulfilling lives. This project primarily focuses on the operational aspects of defining two distinct, but correlated functional organizational units: one being the business and the other being the employment training factor.
A.Q.U.I. will tackle employment, food security, and life skills by encouraging our staff to succeed. A Quest Unifying Individuals will create an environment where people want to work, feel united, and are passionate in hospitality. Our 12 month training program will offer life coaching for important parts of success such as leadership, confidence, and the courage to execute everyday life.
Aqui means "here" in Spanish, and it is the one word that describes the experience we will strive to accomplish. “Here” is where we will love each other as a family. “Here” is where we will celebrate each individual that steps through our doors. "Here" is where we will believe in our team of employees and encourage them to pursue higher goals. We all need to be more compassionate with one another and defend each other’s right to the pursuit of success. A.Q.U.I. is in the process of becoming a nonprofit organization and with your support we can achieve our goals.
What we do
A Quest Uniting Individuals Community Hospitality will primarily serve the eager to learn houseless youth of North Hollywood, CA and surrounding areas. We will collaborate with local halfway housing to recruit staff locally and partner with other nonprofits who share the same goals.

$50 pays for an employee’s nonslip shoes
$600 achieves the application process to become a nonprofit.
$1,000 allows us to apply for necessary permits
$2,500 allows us to market our brand and reach out to our community
$3,500 allows us to hire and train 1 staff member
$5,000 will allow us to purchase catering equipment
$9,000 will allow us to organize our no contact delivery service and rent a kitchen
